(Etowah County, Alabama) One man has been arrested in connection to theft of property and another is being sought, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Christopher George Salster, 46, of Attalla, was arrested and charged with one count of second degree theft of property, which is a felony,” investigator Adam Chapman said.

Salster and Thomas Riley Thacker, Jr. allegedly stole a large utility trailer from property on Simmons Lane, Attalla, and hid it behind a residence on Whites Chapel Road, Gadsden. The trailer was recovered and returned to the rightful owner.

Investigators are searching for Thacker, Jr., 28, of Gadsden, who is also wanted on a theft of property warrant.

Salster was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on $2,500 bond.
