The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.
May 15th
0706 Hours: Officer Wang investigated a burglary on the 5500 block of Jonathan Drive. The loss is a handgun and jewelry.
0825 Hours: Officer Hogan investigated a burglary on the 38800 block of Photinia Pace. The loss is a TV, DVD’s, and sunglasses.
0959 Hours: Officer Wang recovered a Ford Van that was reported stolen out of Hayward on the 5600 block of Mowry School Road.
1833 Hours: Officer Germano investigated a traffic collision on Newark Boulevard near Highway 84. One person was transported to a local hospital for treatment of their non-life threatening injuries.
0034 Hours: Officer Geser investigated a hit & run traffic collision that occurred in the Safeway Center parking lot, 5877 Jarvis Avenue.
