Bicycle Safety Rodeo and Child Seat Inspection Event

Join Pine Hill Officers on Sunday, June 11, 2017 for the Bicycle Safety Rodeo and Child Safety Seat Inspection Event at Overbrook High School on Turnersville Road.
The Bicycle Safety Rodeo and PHPD Bicycle Registration Program will be running throughout the event in the main lot of Overbrook High School. Bring your bike for inspection and registration, take part in the obstacle course with PHPD Bike Officers and learn safety and security tips.
A limited supply of free bike helmets will be available from the Safe Kids Southern New Jersey, led by Cooper University Hospital. Freeride Sports of Haddonfield will be joining us and supporting the event.
The Pine Hill Police Department has collaborated with Cooper Hospital - Safe Kids of Southern NJ, and Camden County Highway Traffic Safety for the Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspections.
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for children 1-12 years old. From 2006 to 2010, 4,028 children (age 12 and younger in a passenger vehicle) were killed and an estimated 660,000 were injured, in motor vehicle traffic crashes – more than the entire population of Boston, Massachusetts.
