On May 14, 2017, at 3:59 a.m. Sergeant John Fischer was traveling Southbound on County Road 25 West near Haubstadt, Indiana when he observed a Red 1997 Dodge Ram stopped on the railroad tracks. Upon approaching the vehicle Sergeant Fischer observed the driver 44 year old Daniel Lynn passed out in the driver’s seat. Sergeant Fischer began a roadside DUI investigation, and at the conclusion of his investigation Mr. Lynn was transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Refusal (DUI) and Resisting Law Enforcement. Mr. Lynn was also issued a citation for having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Mr. Lynn remains in custody on a $650 bond.

Assisting Sergeant Fischer in his investigation was Fort Branch Officer Darrell Parker.
