Sheriff's Office collects food for USPS Stamp Out Hunger food drive
Employees with the Gibson County Sheriff's Office pitched in and collected about 289 pounds of food to donate to the USPS Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
Food collected by postal carriers is distributed to local food banks.
The collection day is really tomorrow, May 13th, 2017, but our carrier picks up ours a day early since the office is closed on the weekend.
If you'd like to participate, simply put a bag of food by your mailbox before your normal mail delivery time tomorrow and your carrier will pick it up. It really is that easy.
