Good morning all,

I’d like to announce and invite members of our community to an event at Lone Lane Park (Upper Macungie Township) in support and recognition of National Police Week, which starts on Monday May 15, 2017.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Currently, tens of thousands of law enforcement officers from around the world converge on Washington, DC to participate in a number of planned events which honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

On Sunday May 14, 2017 the “Back the Blue” motorcycle ride will start in Easton, Pa and end in Lone Lane Park. Arrival time at the park is estimated at 12:00 Noon.

As the Police Chief of this fine community, I am supremely thankful for the outstanding and courageous work of our officers and proud to say that we are consistently consumed with appreciation and support.
