Flood Warning until 11:30PM Friday
...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 AM CDT FRIDAY FOR WILSON...COWLEY...LABETTE...NEOSHO...MONTGOMERY AND CHAUTAUQUA COUNTIES... At 644 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall continuing across southeast Kansas. Three to seven inches of rain have fallen since yesterday evening. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible through the evening. The main flooding culprits will be small creeks and streams, streets, country roads, poor drainage areas and other low lying spots.

Instructions:
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams. Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
