The Evesham Police Department was made aware of a non-specific threat made over social media regarding Cherokee High School for tomorrow. We have thoroughly investigated this accusation and determined the threat to not be credible.

School resource officers worked closely with the staff at Cherokee High School and detectives from the Burlington County Prosecutor’s office to quickly determine that the post was made from a social media account that had been hacked. The threatening message originated from an IP address outside of the country.
