State Road 65 Closure South of 64/65 Junction coming May 22nd

Road Reconstruction Scheduled for SR 65 Near Owensville
GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a full road closure on State Road 65 near Owensville for a full-depth road reconstruction.
Beginning on or around Monday, May 22 crews with E & B Paving will close S.R. 65 between S.R. 64 west of Princeton up to County Road 350 South. Workers will be completely reconstructing the roadway, milling down to the roadbed, repairing the sub grade and replacing and fortifying the asphalt. Work is scheduled to last until the end of September.
This is the first phase of a three-phase project to reconstruct S.R. 65 from S.R. 64 to the Owensville City Limits and resurface the roadway through the town of Owensville.
The official detour for this closure uses S.R. 65, S.R. 168 and U.S. 41. During construction, local traffic will have access to the point of closure, however, through traffic will need to use the detour. INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
