#009 Warrant Arrests

At 6:58 a.m., Officer Lobue responded to a complaint about a vehicle parked on Gurdwara Rd.  The reporting party believed people were living out of it and discarding trash.  During the investigation, Officer Lobue arrested an adult male for DUI warrants and a disturbing the peace warrant.  
 
#012 Warrant Arrests

At 7:13 a.m., Officer Franchi responds to a complaint of a homeless person sleeping in the door way on State St.   Officer Franchi arrested an adult male for narcotics warrants.  
 
#024 Suspended License Arrest

At 12:20 p.m., Officer Blanchet stopped a vehicle near Mowry Av/Argonaut Dr and cited an adult female for driving on a suspended license. 
 
#028 Outside Assist

At 1:18 p.m., K9 Officer J.  Kennedy was driving on Vasco Rd near old Vasco Rd when he drove up on a  vehicle that crashed in the center divider.  The driver takes off on foot and leaves his juvenile child in the vehicle.  Officer J. Kennedy calls for code three cover.  Several FPD units that were on follow ups and at training not too far away, respond.  Several outside agencies also respond to help with the perimeter.  CHP takes over the incident and uses a UCPD K9.  Approximately 1.5 hours later,  the suspect is taken into custody without incident.  The male was wanted for carjacking and a felony probation violation along with felony hit and run and child endangerment.  
 
#021 Commercial Burglary

Unknown suspect(s) broke into a storage shed at the apartments on Waterside Cir.  Loss was supplies.  FTO Ernst and CSO Schwartz investigating. 
 
Three mental health holds

#041 Trespassing and Vandalism

A reporting party located an adult female inside of a house for sale on Butano Park Dr.  Officer Tucker locates the female and arrests her for trespassing and vandalism.

#051 Possession of Narcotics Arrest

Officer Cavaz conducts a pedestrian stop on a 47 year old adult male at Capitol Avenue and State Avenue.  The male is arrested for being possession of a controlled substance.  
 
#004 Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance

Officer Rose conducts a pedestrian stop at Fremont Blvd and Sundale Drive and arrests a 54 year old adult male for being under the influence of a controlled substance. 

#005 DUI Arrest

Officer Gregory was dispatched to a crash at Argonaut Way and Walnut Avenue.  The driver, an 18 year old adult female, was arrested for DUI.

#006 Public Intoxication Arrest

Officer De Stefano is dispatched to Shaw Court on a suspicious person call where a male was knocking on the caller's door.  A 23 year old adult male is contacted and arrested for Drunk in Public.   

#007 Auto Burglary Arrest

An auto burglary victim called advising that he was following the suspects that had just burglarized his car.  The suspect was driving a large motorhome on Peralta. Officer Burch catches up to the suspect vehicle and victim.  Several officers pull in behind the motorhome and conduct a felony car stop.  Several persons were detained.  Victim identifies suspect a 28 year old adult male as the person that broke into the victim’s car.  Hall is arrested.  Case documented by Officer Paiva.

#013 Warrant Arrest 

At 8:41 a.m., Officer Franchi conducts a warrant service on Cherry Ln and arrests an adult male for two narcotic warrants. 
 
#014 Warrant Arrest

At 8:48 a.m., Officer Ehling conducts a security check at Extended Stay Hotel on Farwell and arrests an adult male for an out of county traffic warrant and possession of narcotic paraphernalia. 
 
#017 Unlicensed Driver 

At 10:41 a.m., Officer Koehler conducts a traffic stop at Fremont Blvd/Alder Ave and cites an adult male for being unlicensed. 
  
#012 Stolen Vehicle

At 8:22 a.m., FTO Ernst and CSO Schwartz took a stolen vehicle report  (97 Honda Accord) that occurred the prior night from the Riata Ct area.  At 12:37 p.m., the victim sees their vehicle in the area of Bidwell Dr/Sundale.   The vehicle now has different plates on it, but the victim knows it belongs to them based upon the stickers in the rear window.  Victim follows the vehicle but loses it in the area of Sundale/Stevenson.  Several FPD units check the area and Officer Ehling finds it abandoned in the area Coco Palm/Bruning.  
 
#019 and 025 Stolen Vehicle and Providing False ID to a Police Officer

At 9:13 a.m., CSO Anders took a stolen vehicle report (2010 E150 Van) that occurred the prior night from June Ct.  At 1:29 p.m., the victim sees the vehicle parked in front of an address on Blanchard St and two people standing around it.  Officers approach the vehicle but it is unoccupied.   An adult male is contacted down the street and matches the description of the suspect near the van.   There is not enough evidence to connect him to the stolen vehicle but he is arrested by Officer L. Kennedy for lying about his identify. 

Auto Burglaries:
Two auto burglaries were reported at the Pacific Commons Applebee's. 

#002 & 003 Battery Causing Great Bodily Injury

Dispatch received a report of 10-15 males in a fist fight at the Royal Palace Banquet Hall located on the 6000 block of Stevenson Blvd.  Upon arrival of the first officer, this fight was more like 35 to 50 involved, with several people down in the parking lot, and several 100s of party goers and spectators near the many fights taking place.  All of Mids, Swings, and Newark PD responded.   As officers arrived, cars began leaving.  The main suspect vehicle was described as a white Maserati.  This vehicle was stopped by Officer Tucker as it was leaving and all occupants were detained.   In the main parking lot approximately 10 victims were located and interviewed.  One victim was transported to a regional trauma center and a second to a local hospital, both with head trauma.   A 25 year old adult male was arrested for two counts of battery causing great bodily injury.  Officer Contrada arrested a 23 year old adult male for an extraditable warrant out of Missouri.  Both suspects were in the Maserati.  Detectives are conducting follow-up and case remains active.  In addition, staff are following up with the banquet hall with regard to this event and their conditional use permit.  We'd like to thank Newark PD for their assistance. 

#004 Suspicious Circumstances - Robbery

Officers responded to the 47000 block of Kato Road to investigate a robbery.  During the investigation, the victim decided he did not want a report after all.  Officer Contrada documented. 

#006 Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Officer Chan was dispatched to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the area of Warm Springs and Brown Road.  The victim was at a party when he was hit with metal bar in the back of the head.  Ongoing case.

Unknown suspect(s) tried breaking the door at the Little Ceasars restaurant on Thornton.  Suspect(s) were unable to make entry.   FTO Ernst and CSO Schwartz investigating. 

Two mental health holds during day-shift

#021 Injury/DUI Collision Arrest

Officers responded to an injury collision at Mission Bl / Mojave Dr.  Officers arrest the male driver for DUI and book him into jail.  Case investigated by Traffic Officer Hartman.

#026 Mental Health Hold

Officers respond to the Aqua Adventure park on the report of a male acting strangely.  The male is contacted and place on a mental health hold.

#034 DUI Arrest

Officer Gigiliotti conducted a traffic stop at Fremont Blvd and Decoto Road and arrested a 26 year old adult male for DUI.
 
#002 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Warrant Service

Officer Ferrara conducts a traffic stop at Fremont Blvd and Decoto Road and arrests the driver for possession of drug paraphernalia and his female passenger for her no bail warrant.      
 
#004 Burglary Investigation

Midnight officers were dispatched to a verified alarm on the 4400 block of Enterprise St.  Officers find the front a window smashed.
