The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
May 8th
0005 Hours: Officer Losier investigated a hit and run accident on the 36700 block of Hafner Street.
1251 Hours: Officer Allum investigated a non-injury auto accident on Mowry Avenue at Alpenrose Court.
1321 Hours: Officer Musantry investigated a vehicle burglary at Nefab Packaging, 8477 Central Avenue. The loss is approximately $2500.00 worth of tools.
1410 Hours: Officer Pacheco investigated an auto burglary on the 6300 block of Joaquin Muretta Avenue.
1543 Hours: Officer Pacheco investigated a shoplifting case at Macy’s, NewPark Mall. The suspect, a 23 year old Oakland female, was issued a citation and released.
0021 Hours: Sergeant Deserpa recovered a Buick that was reported stolen out of Fremont on the 37300 block of Cedar Boulevard.
