On the morning of Monday, May 8, 2017, Menlo Park Police Officers responded to the 200 block of Terminal Ave on a medical call. Once on scene, officers determined a domestic assault had occurred at approximately 5:30am inside the residence.
The initial investigation revealed that a 61 year old resident at that location, Nelinda Cabellero, had stabbed the victim with a kitchen knife numerous times.
The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and underwent surgery. Cabellero was later booked into San Mateo County Jail for Assault with a Deadly Weapon (245C PC), Corporal Injury to a Spouse (273.5A PC) and Attempted Homicide (664/187 PC).
