...Long duration of widespread rainfall continues Today... ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING... The Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of southeast Michigan, including the following areas, Lenawee, Monroe, and Wayne.

* Until 8 PM EDT this evening

* Coverage and intensity of showers will increase during the morning and continue through late afternoon. Rainfall will be of moderate intensity at times producing additional totals up to 1 inch across the area today, especially from Detroit south to the Ohio border. Event totals between 2 and 3 inches remain possible.

* Urban, low lying and poor drainage areas prone to flooding will be most susceptible. Rises on area rivers, streams and creeks are expected, with the potential for minor flooding to occur. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
