April 11th

Public Intoxication - 11965 San Pablo Ave:
At 1918 hours, a 54-year-old male was found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. The male was arrested and transported to county jail.

April 12th

Warrant Arrest – BART Path and Blake Street:
At 2121 hours, an officer contacted a 40-year-old male who was found to have a misdemeanor warrant. The subject was booked into county jail.

Domestic Battery – 500 Block of Liberty Street:
At 2155 hours, officers were sent to a residence regarding a domestic violence incident. It was determined the victim’s husband, a 38-year-old male, had pushed and choked her. He was arrested and booked into county jail.

Warrant Arrest – 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 0047 hours, an officer contacted a 31-year-old male who was found to have a felony warrant. The male was booked into county jail.

April 13th

Stolen vehicle – 300 block of Ashbury Ave:
Between 04/12/17 2000 at hours, and 04/13/17 1730 at hours, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s 1999 Acura Integra.

Domestic Battery – 1300 block of Scott Ave:
At 2018 hours, officers were sent to a residence regarding a domestic violence incident. It was determined the victim’s, 18-year-old girlfriend slapped him in the face. Additionally, the 18-year-old female had a domestic violence protective order against the 46-year-old male. Both parties were arrested and transported to county jail separately.

Probation Violation – 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 2126 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of an unwanted subject. A 41-year-old female was contacted found to be on probation and have an active stay away order from Safeway. The female was arrested and booked into county jail.

April 14th

Stolen Vehicle – 1400 block Liberty St:
Between 4/13/17 at 1800 and 4/14/17 at 0745 hours, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s 1995 White Honda Del Sol.

Vandalism – 6800 block Waldo Ave:
On 4/13/17 between 1630 and 2200 hours, an unknown suspect broke the rear window of the victim’s 2004 Ford Explorer.

Auto Burglary – Macaroni Grill, 8000 El Cerrito Plaza:
On 4/12/17 between 1430 and 1515 hours, an unknown suspect broke the rear driver’s side window of the victim’s Jeep Wrangler and stole a backpack containing a Macbook Laptop and a Cannon T6i camera.

Shoplift – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1722 hours, an officer responded to a theft and accepted the citizen arrest of 55-year-old man from Richmond. He was released on a citation in the field.

Warrant Arrest- Creekside Park, 3499 Santa Clara Ave:
At 2141 hours an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 41-year-old transient male for a misdemeanor warrant. The man was booked into County Jail.

Shoplifting/Warrant Arrest- Lucky 1000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 2230 hours officers were sent to Lucky on a report of a theft of alcohol that had just occurred. The suspect, a 36-year-old Richmond man, was located walking to Plaza BART and was identified by Lucky employees as being responsible for the theft. It was also determined the man had three misdemeanor warrants. The man was booked into County Jail.

April 15th

Narcotics Possession- Walgreens, 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 2235 hours an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 26-year-old Richmond woman for possession of methamphetamine. Cite released from ECPD.

Warrant Arrest- Starbucks, 3350 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 2355 hours Officers were sent to a report of a man down in front of the business. Upon arrival they contacted a 25-year-old transient male and determined he was sleeping. It was also determined the man had two misdemeanor warrant. The man was cite released from ECPD.

DUI Arrest- McDonalds 11821 San Pablo Ave:
At 0224 hours an officer came upon a vehicle stopped in the McDonalds drive thru. The driver, a 21-year-old Richmond man, was passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle. The man was arrested for DUI.

Warrant Arrest- 76 Gas Station,3160 Carlson Blvd:
At 0519 hours an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 46-year-old Moraga man for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The man was booked into County Jail.

April 16th

Theft from Person – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave:
Between 0909 and 0920 hours, the victim was shopping in Safeway when an unknown suspect stole her wallet out of her open purse.

April 17th

Robbery - Marshalls, 10794 San Pablo Ave:
At 1127 hours, an officer responded to a theft. His investigation determined two female suspects entered the business, concealed merchandise, and left without paying. Loss prevention confronted the suspects outside and one of the suspects pointed a can of pepper spray at him at a security guard. The suspect told security to back off and she fled in a maroon Kia Forte. The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect #1 – Black female adult, 20-30 years old, 5’3”, 105, black hair in a pony tail, wearing a pink jacket, dark pants, and carrying a tan bag.
Suspect #2 – Black female adult, mid 20’s, 5’4”, 130, black hair, wearing a black baseball hat, black jacket, white shirt, and dark pants.

Shoplifting – 10794 San Pablo Ave:
At 1842, an officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 53-year-old Richmond man after he entered the business, selected merchandise from the shelf, and attempted to conduct a return with it. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released.

Warrant arrest – Stockton Ave / San Pablo Ave:
At 1901 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian enforcement stop and arrested a 44-year-old Richmond man for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

April 18th

Warrant Arrest – Santa Clara County Jail:
At 1330 hours, an officer took custody of a 21-year-old Richmond man that had an outstanding warrant for his arrest from the El Cerrito Police Department. The man was transported directly to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Located missing person – Cutting Blvd / Pinehurst Ct:
At 0718 hours, an officer responded to the report of an elderly female sitting in her car, blocking traffic. She was determined to be a missing endangered Alzheimer’s patient from Richmond from the night before. An officer gave her a ride to the El Cerrito Police Department where she was picked up by a relative.

Auto burglary – 11344 San Pablo Ave:
At 2115 hours the night prior, an unknown suspect shattered the window of the victim’s vehicle and stole property.

Vehicle theft – 11511 San Pablo Ave:
At 1100 hours, an officer located an unoccupied Mitsubishi Montero reported stolen to the Oakland PD.

Warrant arrest – Cutting Blvd / San Pablo Ave:
At 2011 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 55-year-old Richmond man for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released.

Public intoxication – 1600 block of Lexington Ave:
At 2036 hours, officers were dispatched to two subjects pulling on car door handles in the area. The officer located a 40-year-old Pleasant Hill man and determined he was extremely intoxicated and unable to care for himself. The man was arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant arrest, Out of State warrant arrest – 12025 San Pablo Ave:
At 2322 hours, an officer saw what appeared to be two subjects climbing under the barrier fence around the Ohlone Greenway project. An officer conducted a records checks and found that the 28-year-old transient male had two warrants issued for his arrest from Oakland and Compton. The other man, a 25-year-old transient man had a full extradition warrant for his arrest from Milwaukee, WI. Both men were arrested and booked at the El Cerrito Police Department. After booking, both men were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

April 19th

Commercial burglary – 10170 San Pablo Ave:
At 0925 hours, an officer responded to the report of a commercial burglary. Between 4/18/17 at 1900 hours and 4/19/17 at 0920 hours, an unknown suspect cut a hole in the roof of the Tobacco Outlet and entered the restroom. They then cut a hole in the restroom wall and entered the main sales floor. Once there, they stole over $8000 worth of cigarettes.

Possession of a BB gun by a minor – Hotchkiss Ave / Pomona Ave:
At 1142 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 16-year-old Richmond male for possession of a BB gun in his backpack. The male was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released to a parent.

Possession of a BB gun by a minor – El Cerrito High, 540 Ashbury Ave:
At 1200 hours, an officer received a phone call from school administrators regarding a 17-year-old male that had a BB gun concealed in his backpack. The male was arrested and booked at the El Cerrito Police Department before being released to his parent.

Driving under the influence – Lynn Ave / Carmel Ave:
At 2106 hours, officers were dispatched to the El Cerrito Plaza after a witness called while following a possible drunk driver. The witness stated the driver was running stop signs and weaving in the roadway. Officers located the vehicle nearby and conducted a traffic enforcement stop. Upon contacting the driver, a 49-year-old Kensington man, officers found that he was intoxicated. The man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and booked at the El Cerrito Police Department. Following booking, the man was released to a sober friend.

April 20th

Warrant Arrest- 3090 El Cerrito Plaza (All Star Donuts):
An Officer contacted a 38-year-old Oakland woman and determined she had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

Residential Burglary- 1600 Block Arlington Blvd:
Officers were sent to a reported residential burglary alarm at a residence. Upon arrival, it was determined that unknown suspects had forced entry into the victim’s residence and stole property. The suspects were seen fleeing the residence through the rear yards of adjacent residences. The suspects were described as black males, approx. 20-30 years old. (S1) had on sunglasses and a surgical mask over his mouth and nose. (S2) had on a red and black jacket. (S3) had on a black jacket and there was no description for (S4). Suspects fled in a grey infinity with no plates, west on Potrero Ave. Loss was cash and a blued steel .38 special revolver (unknown serial number).

Warrant arrest – San Pablo Ave / Knott Ave:
At 1927 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 32-year-old transient man for four outstanding warrants. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Driving under the influence – San Pablo Ave / Hill St:
At 2234 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested a 28-year-old Richmond man for driving under the influence of alcohol. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released to a sober friend.
