The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.
May 1st
1422 Hours: Officer Nobbe investigated an auto burglary on the 37100 block of Sycamore Street. The loss is 15-20 pairs of shoes.
1732 Hours: Officer Mavrakis investigated a stolen 1994 Honda Accord on the 5100 block of Elmwood Street. The vehicle was recovered by San Jose Police later in the shift and one suspect is in custody.
1951 Hours: Officer Slater investigated an auto burglary on the 37800 block of Timber Street. The loss is a camera, makeup bag and camping gear.
2125 Hours: Officer Herbert responded to an indecent exposure incident that occurred in front of XPlore Yoga at 5572 NewPark Mall. The suspect was not located.
