Planned May Day Rally & March- Update 6:21pm

Today, in the late afternoon, there was a planned May Day Rally that gathered in Oakland's Fruitvale District (3400 Block of International Boulevard). With the warm temperatures, the Oakland Police Department came stocked with additional water bottles, if needed, for rally participants. The Oakland Fire Department provided medical personnel on bicycles for any potential medical incidents within the rally.

Throughout the afternoon, the crowd size grew to approximately 1,000 participants. The crowd marched westbound on International Boulevard, northbound on 22nd Avenue, and then westbound on Foothill Boulevard, ending at San Antonio Park.

At this time, there are no reports of any injuries, property damage, arrests, or citations during the rally.
