Homicide Investigation | Bag located, thanks to resident who saw our Facebook post

After viewing the latest media release and photograph on Facebook, a female resident of downtown Middleton contacted this department to report that she had seen a bag matching the description of the item we had been searching for. It has been confirmed that the bag in question contains personal property belonging to John “Jack” Hamann. The property was seized and is currently being transported to the State of Wisconsin Crime Laboratory for examination and analysis.

The Middleton Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident and shall provide written press releases when further information becomes available.
