The Sheriff's Office wants to remind you to AVOID high water.

The Gibson County Sheriff's Office along with other Emergency Service Personnel responded to a vehicle in high water on County Road 1050 East near Miller's bridge.

Two law enforcement officers, two medics. A county highway worker, and seven volunteer firefighters responded to the scene.

Do to the high water and deep ditches Oakland City/ Columbia Township firefighters Chris Lynn and Jimmie Deffendall along with Sergeant Bruce Vanoven searched the area on foot and were unable to locate any vehicles

The Sheriff's Office want to remind citizens to AVOID high water not only is it a waste of resources it could cost the offending motorist their life.
