Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, announced the indictment of Cuthbert A. Andersen Jr., age 22, of Lawrence, NJ. On April 20, 2017, a 34 count indictment was handed down by a Hunterdon County Grand Jury. Mr. Andersen was indicted for 17 counts of 3rd degree Burglary, 11 counts of 3rd degree Theft, 2nd degree Burglary, 2nd degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, 2nd degree Eluding, 3rd degree Unlawful Possession of a Shotgun, 3rd degree Receiving Stolen Property, and 4th degree Illegal Sale of Weapons.

According to Prosecutor Kearns, “In early February, the New Jersey State Police Kingwood Station detective bureau conducted an investigation in cooperation with detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office, Edgewater Park Police Department (Burlington County), Burlington Township Police Department, Raritan Township Police Department and the Hopewell Township Police Department (Mercer County) into numerous burglaries and thefts. As a result of the investigation, Anderson was charged in connection to 13 burglaries and thefts in Hunterdon County and several burglaries and thefts in Burlington County. He was also linked to a pursuit in Hopewell Township, Mercer County involving a stolen vehicle and a burglary/theft in Raritan Township, Hunterdon County.”
