Press Release: Operation Take Back

SUBJECT: “Operation Take Back New Jersey”

DATE/TIME: April 29th, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

LOCATION: 399 Monmouth Road Oakhurst, NJ (OTPD)

NARRATIVE:
The Ocean Township Police will be hosting a local collection site as part of the “Operation Take Back New Jersey” medicine disposal day. The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

The event will take place at Police Headquarters between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017. This initiative is open to all residents of Ocean Township and was organized to encourage local community residents to properly dispose of their unused, unwanted and expired medicine. This national and statewide effort, with the majority of New Jersey police departments participating, is being spearheaded by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA).
