SUBJECT: Accused Flees Police During an Investigation

DATE/TIME: April 21, 2017 @ 7:13 pm

LOCATION: Willow Drive (Continental Garden Apartments)

OFFICERS INVOLVED: Police Officers Kevin Donohoe, Daniel Weber, Thomas Rant and Sergeant James Kelesidis along with Detective Gregory Martone and Detective Sergeant Patrick Martin

ACCUSED: Shadrac Fleury, 18-year-old male, Ocean Township
Juvenile, 17-year-old female, Neptune Township
Juvenile, 16-year-old female, Borough of Manasquan

NARRATIVE:
On April 21, 2017 at approximately 7:13 pm Police Officer Kevin Donohoe responded to the Continental Garden Apartment complex for a report of several suspicious subjects in the area of a vacant apartment which had recently been burglarized. When Officer Donohoe arrived, he observed three people in the area. When he approached them, one fled on foot and was apprehended by Detective Sergeant Martin and Detective Martone. He was identified as Shadrac Fleury. The other two subjects were taken into custody at the scene and were identified as a 16-year-old female from Manasquan and a 17-year-old female from Neptune.

Fleury was arrested, transported to the station for processing and was charged with obstructing the administration of law and conspiracy to commit a burglary. He was released on a criminal summons pending a future court appearance. The juveniles were transported to the station and were released to parents. The females will be charged with juvenile delinquency for conspiracy to commit a burglary which will be heard in juvenile court at a later date.
