Press Release: 2 males arrested for multiple offenses following motor vehicle stop

ACCUSED: James Dunn, Age 44, Asbury Park, NJ, Andrew Miller, Age 26, West Long Branch, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On April 22, 2017 Ptl Chris Mirrione was on routine patrol in the Borough of Deal. At approximately 1119am Ptl Mirrione observed a vehicle run a red light at the intersection of Norwood and Roseld. Ptl Mirrione performed a motor vehicle stop in the area of Norwood and Poplar. Subsequent investigation conducted by the officers involved revealed both subjects were in possession of various controlled dangerous substances.
Dunn was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of suboxone, possession of hypodermic syringes, possession of drug paraphernalia and hindering his apprehension. Miller was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of suboxone, possession of hypodermic syringes along with multiple motor vehicle offenses. Following bail reform guidelines Dunn and Miller were committed to Monmouth County Jail pending their first appearance.
