Palmer Police has an important Safety message for you! Aggressive patrols have begun along the bike path trail system. 
Due to Public Safety concerns along the Bikepath trail system Palmer Township shares with Forks Township and the Borough of Tatamy, these Police Departments will be aggressively patrolling these trails to ensure safe usage by our communities.
Two reported assaults have occurred within the past two evenings by female victims, utilizing the bike path trails. The first reported incident has occurred 2 days ago in Tatamy, and last evening’s incident occurred in Forks Township.
Police have received suspect information described as a hispanic male who ran past a female and accosted her, while continuing to run and saying something to her in Spanish. This male was wearing a blue jump suit with words across the chest, in last evening’s incident.
Agencies are seeking public assistance with any further information.
The Public is requested to use common sense safety measures while using the trail system.
Suggestions include, the “buddy system”, the time of day, be alert to your surroundings and to always stay vigilant.
