Newark Police Investigating Homicide 
Newark, California (Saturday, April 8, 2017)
On April 8, 2017 at approximately 1233 p.m. , Newark Police responded to a report of a man down in the parking lot of Grocery Outlet, located at 36601 Newark Blvd.
Upon arrival, officers located a male, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was declared deceased on scene.
Newark Police Department Detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide, and it is not believed to be a random act.
The victim has not been positively identified as we are still waiting for the Coroner.
At this time, it is an ongoing investigation and we will not be releasing additional details.
