The flood watch remains in effect Thursday through Friday afternoon for the entire Tri-State area. An intensifying storm system will bring widespread rainfall, heavy at times, on Thursday. Thunderstorms may bring locally heavier rainfall rates and gusty winds as well. The rain gradually tapers off Thursday night.
* 1.5 to 2 inches of rain is forecast with locally higher amounts.

* Possible impacts include urban and small stream flooding as well as some minor river flooding. If minor river flooding does occur, it could linger into a portion of Friday.
A coastal flood advisory has been issued for Thursday afternoon and evening around high tide.
