...HEAVY RAIN AND FLOODING POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY... ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM EDT TUESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING... The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York, including the following areas, in northeast New Jersey: Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Union and Hudson Counties. In southeast New York: Westchester, Rockland, Putnam and Orange Counties.

* From 2 AM EDT Tuesday through Tuesday evening

* Rainfall with an approaching warm front may be heavy at times late tonight into Tuesday morning. The warm front is expected to lift through parts of the area during Tuesday, and thunderstorms with heavy rain could also occur Tuesday afternoon, mainly across northeast New Jersey.

* Total rainfall of around one and a half inches, with locally higher amounts, will likely lead to at least minor urban and small stream flooding. There is also the potential of more significant flooding especially in low-lying areas as well as in areas where the ground is saturated.

* AFFECTED AREAS: EASTERN BERGEN ... EASTERN ESSEX ... EASTERN PASSAIC ... EASTERN UNION ... HUDSON ... WESTERN BERGEN ... WESTERN ESSEX ... WESTERN PASSAIC ... WESTERN UNION
