On April 1, 2017 at 2:52 a.m. Deputies U.B. Smith and Ben Kiesel conducted a traffic stop on a Red 1995 Ford F150 near the intersection of Emerson Street and Seminary Street in Princeton, Indiana. Upon approaching the vehicle officers detected the odor of alcohol on the driver 33 year old Cheyne Kermode of Princeton, Indiana. At that point Deputy Kiesel began a roadside DUI investigation that resulted in Mr. Kermode being taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. At the Gibson County Jail Mr. Kermode was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and remains in custody on a $750 bond. Mr. Kermode was also issued citations for driving left of center and failure to stop at a stop sign.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
