On March 31, 2017, at 1:12 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a battery that had occurred in the 6000 block of South 850 East. Sergeant Bruce Vanoven and Deputy Bryan Small were dispatched to the scene and an investigation was conducted. At the conclusion of Sgt. Vanoven’s investigation 35 year old Jared Morgan was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. At the Gibson County Jail Mr. Morgan was charged with Battery In The Presence Of A Child, Strangulation, and Interference In The Reporting Of A Crime. Mr. Morgan remains in custody on a $750 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
