Berkeley PD capture burglars after alert neighbor calls 911.
On March 30, 2017, at approximately 8:08 p.m., Berkeley Police Officers responded to a report of a residential burglary in progress on the 2800 block of Sacramento Street. An alert neighbor called 911 to report the incident. Officers detained Reginald Patillo and Kizzie Sandling walking away from the house as they matched the suspect descriptions we were given. A broken window was located at the residence and during the subsequent investigation Patillo and Sandling were identified as the suspects.
A search of Patillo's vehicle, parked in front of the residence, revealed numerous items including burglary tools and an empty gun magazine.
Patillo was arrested for several charges including burglary, possession of burglary tools and violating his probation. Sandling was arrested for burglary and violating her probation. Both were booked at the Santa Rita Jail.
