On March 31, 2017, at 3:19 a.m. Deputy U.B. Smith observed a Silver 2017 passenger car make an unsafe lane change on US 41 at the County Road 1250 South intersection in Gibson County. Upon catching up to the vehicle near Baseline Road in Vanderburgh County Deputy Smith conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop the driver 41 year old Latoshia Bush of Evansville became agitated and elevated her voice in such a manner that Deputy Smith asked her repeatedly to lower her voice.
