The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
March 29th
1234 Hours: Community Service Officer Verandes investigated the theft of a red 1995 Honda Civic (CA license #3MJM825) on the 6300 block of Joaquin Murieta Avenue.
1409 Hours: Officer Mapes contacted and arrested a 31 year old Newark female for her outstanding warrant. The suspect was issued a citation and released.
1507 Hours: Officer Mapes contacted and arrested a 54 year old Newark male for his outstanding warrant during a probation search on the 35100 block of Millwood Court. The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
1746 Hours: Officer Horst investigated the grab and run theft of approximately $1,000 worth of bras from Victoria’s Secret, NewPark Mall.
2232 Hours: Officer Norvell investigated an interrupted auto-burglary at Sushi Yoshi, 39261 Cedar Boulevard.
