For your traffic planning, we are distributing this information from the Alameda County Public Works Agency:

Redwood Road, Castro Valley, is CLOSED to all traffic at marker 7.38 until further notice due to roadway failure. This closure blocks all access between Castro Valley and Oakland. Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
This is located approximately 5 miles south of the intersection of Redwood and Pinehurst Roads.

Guests accessing the East Bay Regional Park District’s Lake Chabot campground facilities need to enter from the Oakland side of Redwood Road.
