The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
March 28th
0628 Hours: Officer Johnson contacted and arrested a 41 year old Newark female for her outstanding warrant on the 6300 block of Broadway Avenue. The suspect was issued a citation and released.
0934 Hours: Officer Johnson recovered a stolen Ford Econoline Van on Oak Street at Wells Avenue. The vehicle was released to the registered owner.
0958 Hours: Officer Horst investigated a stolen white 2003 Dodge Caravan (CA license #7E62212) from Central Computer, 5990 Mowry Avenue.
1025 Hours: Officer Jackman contacted and arrested a 35 year old Newark male for his outstanding warrant during a pedestrian stop on Boyce Road at Automall Parkway. The suspect was issued a citation and released.
1321 Hours: Officers responded to Cherry Street at Mowry Avenue for an auto vs. bicyclist traffic collision. The bicyclist was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
1610 Hours: Officers responded to a rollover collision on Mowry Avenue at Cedar Boulevard. Three people were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.
1945 Hours: Officer Cervantes investigated an auto burglary at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, 5699 Mowry Avenue. The loss is a backpack, laptop computer and a passport.
