Helpful Tips to Protect Yourself From Online Scams!

It's tax season and with this comes a spike in financial scams and identity theft.

We want to share simple resources that can help protect you and your loved ones from online scammers. We encourage you to educate elderly parents and grandparents about internet and phone scams because they are at a greater risk of becoming victims to this.

Scammers are becoming increasingly aggressive and will try several 'scare tactics' to pressure you into giving them your personal information, including threats to have you arrested and put in jail. If you are worried about an email or call you've received, please contact your local authorities. Don't become a victim. Be aware and be cautious.

Below are two links where you can learn more about popular financial scams and how you can file a report through the state and federal trade commission.
