The San Dimas and Walnut-Diamond Bar Stations teamed up this weekend to compete in the Annual Baker to Vegas relay run where police organizations from all over the country run a 120-mile course starting just north of Baker, CA to Las Vegas, NV. This year there were over 280 police organizations completing including teams from Australia, Canada, Germany, and Belize.
The race was the vision of Los Angeles Police Officers Chuck Foote and Larry Moore some 20 years ago, to provide law enforcement officers an opportunity for physical fitness, teamwork, camaraderie, and competition. Today it is one of the largest law enforcement events of its kind. Many thanks go to team captains Deputy Brian Harper and Deputy Jason Skadsem.
