March 10th

Possession of a Controlled Substance and paraphernalia – Moeser Lane / Richmond Street:
At 0928 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested the driver, a 46 year old male from Alameda for being in possession of a controlled substance and a smoking device.

Domestic Battery - 11740 San Pablo Avenue:
At 2050 hours, an officer responded to a domestic violence call. He spoke to the victim and learned that her boyfriend, a 26 year old El Cerrito male, had wrapped his hands around the victim's neck and pushed her to the ground. He was arrested and transported to county jail.

Warrant Arrest - San Pablo Avenue / San Diego Street:
At 2216 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested a 29 year old Richmond male for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Santa Cruz County. He was cited from the field.

March 11th

Warrant Arrest - Dennys, 11344 San Pablo Avenue:
At 2044 hours, an officer arrested a 21 year old San Pablo female for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant during a traffic stop. She was cited and released.

Warrant Arrest - Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Avenue:
At 2155 hours, an officer arrested a 34 year old Pinole male for an outstanding felony warrant during a pedestrian stop. He was transported to county jail.

Warrant Arrest - S. 52nd Street / Gordon Avenue:
At 0156 hours, an officer arrested a 26 year old Richmond male for an outstanding felony warrant during a traffic stop. He was transported county jail.

Warrant Arrest - Del Norte BART:
At 0524 hours, an officer arrested a 25 year old Pinole man for 3 outstanding misdemeanor warrants. He was cited and released.

Grand Theft – 11755 San Pablo Avenue
At 0744 hours, an officer reports an unknown suspect(s) removed four tires/wheels from a vehicle. Theft occurred between 2100 hours on 3/10 and 0630 hours on 3/11. Approx. loss is $1000.

Burglary (Residential) – 2400 block of Mira Vista Drive
At 1058, an officer reports an unknown suspect(s) entered a residence by removing a key from an exterior lock box. The suspect(s) entered the residence and removed three (3) bicycles and other misc. property. Burglary occurred between 1430 hours on 3/10 and 0745 hours on 3/11.

Felon in Possession of Ammo, Poss. Of Drug Paraphernalia – 11299 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1154 hours, an officer responded to a suspicious person call located the subject, a 38 year old female from Richmond. The female was on felony probation, in possession of a bullet, a smoking device and another’s CA driver license. The female was taken into custody.

March 12th

Auto Burglary- IFO Luckys, 1000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 1844 hours, an officer reports an unknown suspect shattered the victim’s driver side window and stole a briefcase containing misc. documents. TOO: 1750-1830 hours.

Warrant Arrest - Hill Street / BART Path:
At 0156 hours, an officer arrested a 35 year old Oakland male for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Alameda County. He was transported to county jail.

Warrant Arrest - Key Blvd / Humboldt Avenue:
At 0230 hours, an officer arrested a 22 year old Oakland male for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. He was transported to MDF.

March 13th

Probation Violation, Petty Theft - Walgreens, 11545 San Pablo Avenue:
At 2126 hours, an officer reports the arrest of a 21 year old Richmond female as she was seen stealing $40.00 worth of electronics from Walgreens. She has an active felony probation status out of our county and was transported to county jail.

Warrant Arrest - Albermarle Street / Stockton Avenue:
At 0104 hours, an officer arrested a 33 year old San Leandro male for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. He was transported to county jail.

March 14th

Methamphetamine Possession - Carlson Blvd. / Central Ave:
At 1517 hours, ECPD officers responded to the report of an indecent exposure. An officer arrived and observed the suspect, a 27 year old Berkeley man who then fled on a bicycle. Officers located the subject in the 400 block of Lexington Avenue where he was detained. He was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamines. He was too intoxicated for booking and was released to emergency medical care.

March 15th

Warrant Arrest - San Pablo Ave. / Central Ave.:
At 1024 hours, ECPD officers were sent to the area on a report of a subject possibly beating a dog. Upon arrival an officer contacted a 23 year old transient man who was determined to have two misdemeanor warrants from Santa Monica Police Dept. Animal Control responded and determined no crime was committed involving the dog. The subject was field cited on the warrants and given some dog food.

Warrant Arrest / Loaded Firearm and Cocaine possession - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1132 hours an officer located a vehicle with expired registration in excess of 6 months in the Safeway parking lot. The officer decided to tow the vehicle. As he worked on the paper work paper work to impound the vehicle, a 32 year old Hayward man approached. An officer contacted him and determined he was responsible for the vehicle and that he was wanted on a felony warrant for assault with a firearm. While he was being taken into custody, he tried to discard cocaine during the arrest. A loaded unregistered firearm was located in the truck. He was booked and transported to the MDF.

Check Forgery – Check into Cash, 11299 San Pablo Ave:
At 1603 hours, an officer responded to the report of a check forgery. A known suspect entered the store on 03-07-2017 and cashed a $1500 forged check. While there, the officer also investigated an unrelated check forgery case where a known suspect cashed $2400 in forged checks.

Shoplifting, Warrant arrest – 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1908 hours, an officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 58-year-old San Francisco man after he stole merchandise from Safeway. During his arrest, officers learned that he also had two outstanding warrants. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released.

March 16th

Warrant Arrest – 1800 block of Elm St.:
An officer arrested a 47-year-old El Cerrito resident for a warrant for illegal firearm possession. He was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

March 17th

Warrant Arrest - Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1028 hours, an officer was dispatched to an unwanted subject and contacted a 33 year old male. The male had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The male was booked and transported to county jail.

Attempted Burglary - 400 block of Norvell Street:
At 1236 hours, an Officer reports an unknown suspect(s) attempted to enter a residence via a rear window. The suspect(s) were unable to gain entry but took a scooter which was outside. A neighbor stated seeing a group of 3 to 4 juveniles walking on the block around the time of the crime. One of the subjects was riding a scooter.

DUI arrest, DUI probation violation, DUI with Priors, Drug Possession, Drug Paraphernalia Possession, Probation Violation- San Pablo Avenue / Wall Avenue:
At 2211 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 44 year old Richmond male for possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and DUI after he blew a .082 BAC. He was also on probation for DUI which is a violation. After a review of his criminal history, it was determined he had three prior convictions for DUI within the past 10 years. He was transported to county jail.

Warrant Arrest, Drunk in Public - San Pablo Avenue / Carlson Boulevard:
At 2246 hours, an officer arrested 46 year old transient male for an outstanding warrant. He was also heavily intoxicated and blew a .27 BAC. He was sent to county jail.

Poss. Of Stolen Vehicle, Drug and Drug Paraphernalia Arrest - Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Avenue:
At 0104 hours, an officer located a stolen 1990 white Ford pickup truck which was occupied by two females. A 36 year old Albany female was found in the driver seat. A 36 year old Alameda female was found in the passenger seat and had methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in her possession. The driver was transported to county jail and the passenger was cited and released.

March 18th

DUI Arrest- El Dorado Street / Carlson Blvd.:
At 2335 hours, an officer arrested a 66 year old El Cerrito male for DUI during a traffic stop. He blew a .14 BAC and was cited and released.

Evading Police - S. 55th Street / Cypress Avenue:
At 0222 hours, an officer attempted to conduct a traffic enforcement stop on a white Volvo, which failed to yield and a pursuit ensued. The officer described the driver as an Asian or White female. The Volvo headed west on Bayview Avenue from S.55th Street and then onto I-580 westbound. The pursuit was terminated due to speed and type of crime.
