Coyote Warning

Residents,

There was a second coyote attack on a small animal this time in the Village area. As a reminder, please do not feed coyotes or leave pet food or other food sources (pets, trash, etc.) outside, especially during the hours of sunset to sunrise. Small animals are especially at risk should not be left outdoors. If approached by a coyote, shout, wave, throw objects and otherwise try to frighten it away. The City has been successful in trapping and removing coyotes in the area. However, after the attack occurring earlier today the City will be stepping up its efforts to resolve the problem. Please report coyote sightings to the City’s Animal Control Division at 323-887-4460, ext. 2236. For emergencies, call 9-1-1.
