Investigators with the Jackson Police Department are investigating a late evening shooting that occurred in the 900 block of Prospect Avenue.
On March 19th, at approximately 9:40 p.m., officers and investigators with the Jackson Police Department responded to Prospect Avenue where officers located a white male suffering from an apparent gunshot injury. The victim was transported by Emergency Medical Services personnel to a local hospital.
The Jackson Police Department does not have any suspect information to release at this time, however, preliminary investigations suggest this was a drug related incident. This remains an open case and the investigation is ongoing. Also, police have determined that this incident is not related to any of the recent shootings.
