Traffic stop leads to arrest of Ft. Branch man on drug charges.

On March 17, 2017, at 4:39 p.m. Deputy Bryan Small conducted a traffic stop on a Grey 1998 Ford Windstar minivan at the corner of Pinkney and Main Street in Princeton. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Small identified the driver as 46 year old Shelby Sisk of Fort Branch, Indiana. During a roadside investigation Deputy Small ran Mr. Sisk through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that Mr. Sisk’s operator license status was listed as Suspended/Infraction. During a roadside investigation Deputy Small also learned that Mr. Sisk was operating the Ford vehicle without having any insurance. At that point a local wrecker was called to take possession of the vehicle and Deputy Small continued his investigation. At the conclusion of his investigation Deputy Small placed Mr. Sisk into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail after finding illegal drugs in the vehicle.

At the Gibson County Jail Mr. Sisk was charged with Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Deputy Small also issued citations for Driving While Suspended, Operating a Vehicle Without Financial Responsibility, and Failure to Wear a Seatbelt. Mr. Sisk has since posted a $750 bond.

Assisting Deputy Small in his investigation was Princeton Officer Bobby Wood.
