On March 15, 2017, at 7:42 p.m. Deputy U.B. Smith conducted a traffic stop on a Red 2014 Lexus for traveling in excess of 100 mph on Interstate 69. Upon approaching the vehicle the driver was identified as 25 year old Ryan Stearns of Evansville, Indiana. At the finish of Deputy Smith’s roadside investigation Mr. Stearns was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. At the Gibson County Jail Mr. Stearns was charged with Reckless Driving and has since posted a $450 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
