INCIDENT: Underage off-campus Monmouth University party ends in arrests

ACCUSSED: Gina Harvat Age 22, New Brunswick, NJ, Nicole Janny Age 22, Millstone Twp, NJ, Adelina Vega Age 19, Toms River, NJ and Alyssa Shann Age 18, Asbury Park, NJ

NARRATIVE:

On March 12, 2017 at approximately 3:11am Ptl Nick Dowling was on routine patrol in the area of Monmouth Drive in the Borough of Deal. Ptl Dowling observed a group of people walking on Monmouth Drive assisting an intoxicated female. Ptl Dowling conducted a welfare check of the female and subsequently was made aware of a large underage drinking party occurring at 58 Monmouth Drive.

Officers then responded to the home to investigate further. Upon arrival several people were seen fleeing the home in all directions. At this point officers made contact with Gina Harvat and Nicole Janny who stated they were the residents of the home and they were hosting the party. Officers then assisted the residents in removing the remaining Monmouth University Students and other guests from inside the home.

Gina Harvat and Nicole Janny were charged with maintaining a nuisance and serving/making available alcohol to underage persons. Adelina Vega was charged with Disorderly Conduct and a borough ordinance violation for underage consumption of alcohol. Alyssa Shann was issued a borough ordinance violation for underage consumption of alcohol. All parties were released on scene pending a court date.
