3/09 – 11:27 p.m. – Police responded to the Circle K, on West Washington Avenue, for a domestic violence call between a father and his adult son. The father had committed the offense of domestic battery against his son. As the son was attempting to leave in his vehicle, the father held on to the vehicle causing him to be briefly drug through the parking lot. He was assessed for injuries by Millstadt EMS, but was not transported to the hospital. The father was taken into custody and transported to the county jail. The following day the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged the suspect, Kevin J. Veath age 58 of Millstadt, with one count of Domestic Battery/Physical Contact. His bond was set at $2,000.
