A Blizzard Warning remains in effect for the area, however, forecasted snow accumulations have been decreased to around 8 to 12 inches. A changeover to sleet has occurred this morning, mixed with snow at times, which has led to the decrease in the expected snow amounts. The snow/sleet mix is making roadways hazardous.
This storm is expected to continue for the next several hours so please avoid travel to allow plows to clear the roadways.
The North Brunswick Office of Emergency Management advises of power outages in the Colonial Gardens section this morning. PSE&G is handling the situation and estimates power restoration around 1:30 p.m.
The next storm update will be around 12 p.m.
