Winter Storm Stella

We have received an update from the Monmouth County Office of Emergency Management and we are preparing for a significant weather event. The Governor has declared a State of Emergency and is requesting only emergency travel on the roadways. All residents are encouraged to stay off the roadways and to park vehicles in their driveway. This will allow for Public Works to clear the snow from the street as quickly and efficiently as possible.

We have received the below information from the Monmouth County OEM and it represents the most up to date local information available.
• The storm is expected to reach Monmouth County approximately 12:00 am
• Winds will be high with gusts 50-55 mph inland
• Winds will gust to over 60 mph along the shore

Flooding
• High Tide will be between 09:15 and 10:15 coastal and tidal flooding is expected
• High tide is expected to be 2-3 feet above normal

Precipitation
• Snow is expected to accumulate 10-18 inches
• Snow mixed with sleet is expected south of our area
• The heaviest period is expected to be 04:00 through 16:00

Power Outages
• JCP&L has advised they will have repair crews on standby as these conditions may cause widespread or multiple localized outages.
• Report all outages to 1-888-777-4877

Again all residents are encouraged to stay indoors and off the roadways to allow for snow removal and prompt emergency responses. Remove vehicles from the roadway prior to the start of the snowfall where ever possible or required by ordinance. No Parking ordinances will be waived for the duration of this weather incident. Updates will be released when any substantial changes are reported.
