Nor’easter Stella March 13-14
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Warning with blizzard conditions for our area starting late tonight through Tuesday, March 14. The forecast is currently predicting likely snow accumulations of up to two feet with winds ranging from 15 MPH to 25 MPH with gusts up to 40 MPH. See NWS Mt. The Warren Township Police Department and the Office Of Emergency Management continue to monitor the storm. Please make all of your preparations for the storm now before the snow begins to fall. As updates become available we will post them on our Warren Township website (warrennj.org) under the icon “MARCH 2017 NOR’EASTER STELLA”, our OEM and Police Facebook pages, Twitter and NIXLE Texts and if needed NIXLE R911. Unnecessary travel is not advised after midnight tonight through Tuesday. We strongly encourage you to stay at home and off the roads for your own safety and for the safety of our First Responders who are trying to clear the roads and answer emergency calls. In order to assist out Department of Public Works with snow clearing, please do not park any vehicles in the roadway, and do not plow snow from your driveway into the street. If possible, please assist the Warren Twp. Fire Department by keeping fire hydrants clear of snow.
Please do not call the Police Department about school closings or with questions about when your road will be plowed. To reach the Warren Township School District or WHRHS, please visit their websites.
