On March 11, 2017, at 3:11 a.m. Deputy Ben Kiesel was northbound on US 41 when he observed a Black 2003 Hyundai passenger car traveling all over the roadway. Upon initiating a traffic stop near State Road 64 Deputy Kiesel identified the driver of the Hyundai as 26 year old Tyler Fowler of Petersburg, Indiana. While speaking with Mr. Fowler Deputy Kiesel detected the odor of alcohol coming from the driver. At that point Deputy Kiesel began a roadside DUI investigation. At the conclusion of his investigation Deputy Kiesel placed Mr. Fowler into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (DUI.) He has since posted a $650 bond.
