Recycling Containers
Starting Thursday March 9th, Aberdeen Township residents will begin receiving special recycling containers provided by the Township. Please be aware, we expect all households to receive their recycling containers by the end of the month. Also, if you live in a complex this message does not apply to you.
The containers—which are to be used for bottles, cans and mixed paper—will be delivered by the township’s garbage company over the next few weeks. Only one container per household will be provided, but residents may use additional containers if necessary. Residents are asked to continue to bundle newspapers and cardboard with string. Suburban garbage Company will be dropping these containers off at curbside. Once the recycling containers have been dropped off to your curb, it is the sole responsibility of the homeowner to make sure that their new container makes it up on their property by the end of the day.
An information flyer placed inside the pail provides complete details on recycling pick-up schedules and which items can and cannot be recycled.
