(Etowah County, Alabama) An Attalla man has been arrested for sexual abuse of a child, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“David Allen Johnson, 55, of Attalla, is charged with one count of sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old, which is a felony,” investigator VaShaunda Ragland said.

Johnson allegedly had sexual contact with an 8 year-old male victim.

He is being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $50,000 cash bond. As a condition of the bond, Johnson will be supervised by Etowah Community Corrections and is prohibited from any contact with the victim, their family and shall not have any unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18 years old.
