Police Activity Concluded

  Berkeley Police Officers are clearing the scene of a search for an auto burglary suspect who attempted to hit a Richmond Police Officer with his car.  The suspect remains at large.  Officers from the Richmond Police are still present at the abandoned suspect vehicle.    

On 3/7/17 at 12:19pm, the Berkeley Police Department Communication’s Center received a call from a member of the community about a suspicious vehicle that was possibly involved in an Officer involved Shooting in Richmond which occurred this morning.  Officers responded and found the involved vehicle abandoned in the area of Dwight Way, west of 4th Street.  The driver of that vehicle was seen running northwest towards Aquatic Park on Channing Way.

A witness described the suspect that fled the vehicle as a black male adult, 20s-30s, and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
