  On 3/7/17 at 12:19pm, the Berkeley Police Department Communication’s Center received a call from a member of the community about a suspicious vehicle that was possibly involved in an Officer involved Shooting in Richmond which occurred this morning.  Officers responded and found the involved vehicle abandoned in the area of Channing Way and 4^th Streets.  The driver of that vehicle was seen running northwest towards Aquatic Park on Channing Way.

A witness described the suspect that fled the vehicle as a black male adult, 20s-30s, and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.   
Numerous BPD officers are actively searching the area for driver.
